Ultimate Windows 8 Professional

Hi I am just wondering, should i get windows 7 ultimate or windows 8 professional as my operating system. Thanks I tried to upgrade Windows 7 Ultimate to Windows 8 Professional. It started and at one point got stuck at a command prompt showing "wpeinit", but actually wpeinit.exe
