Pastore, 25, struggled to get much playing time last season as PSG manager Laurent Blanc preferred Edinson Cavani, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Lucas Moura or Ezequiel Lavezzi in attack so the Argentinian found chances hard to come by.

He has won the Ligue 1 title twice over the past couple of years and is determined to fight for his place at PSG, despite it looking unlikely that he’ll break into the first-team.

Pastore joined PSG from Serie A side Palermo after starring in Italy. He became one of the highest-rated youngsters in Europe after winning 2010 Serie A Young Footballer of the Year.

A lot of clubs were chasing him but PSG, who had just received a huge injection of cash from their new owners, got hold of him but his career is stagnating.

“Juventus, Lazio and Milan? I can confirm there was something with these teams but I am happy at PSG and the club believes in me,” Pastore told Sky Sport Italia.

“Having said that, I was very happy when I was in Italy.”
