Alen Halilovic has stated that he would love to move to the Premier League.

Tottenham and Arsenal are now set to fight it out for the highly sought services of Dinamo Zagreb youngster Alen Halilovic, after it was revealed he would prefer a move to the Premier League.

The Croatian starlet has been followed by top sides from across the continent for a while now and having now established himself a regular for the Croatia national team aged only 17, is one of the hottest properties on the market.

A host of clubs including Juventus, Inter Milan, CSKA, Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Spurs have all been following his situation with increasing interest, and reports raising the possibility of £13million bid being enough to prise him away from Zagreb have done little to quell speculation.

However the playmaker has moved to assert his longing to play in the Premier League and, according to the Express, dismissed the notion that he is set to ply his trade in one of Europe's other top leagues.

"I've never been in talks either with Juventus or with Inter," Halilovic was quoted as having told an Italian source.

"Anyway, my father and Zdravko Mamic are the ones dealing with transfer market.

"I don't want to say which is my favourite team, in case I'll join another one."

The Croatia star did however lend hope to Tottenham fans, by suggesting that he could join a club who have already officially stated their interest in him. Spurs fall well into that category, having already been rumoured to have made an £8.5million offer in the summer.

Halilovic continued: "Yes, I love English and Spanish football, and during last summer I was near to a particular club, and they are still tracking me."
